Pakistan: Pakistani security forces on Tuesday killed two local Taliban commanders in the country’s northwest. A statement said the terrorists were killed in North Waziristan, a district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan. Both the terrorists killed in the encounter are said to be of Pakistani Taliban, also known as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan or TTP. The TTP is a separate group from the Taliban which is in power in Afghanistan. The Taliban occupation of Afghanistan has encouraged the TTP to intensify attacks on Pakistani forces, raising fears that the rebels are regrouping in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Pakistan has been saying that thousands of TTP terrorists are hiding in Afghanistan and often attack from there, targeting Pakistani soldiers.

Pakistan unhappy with Taliban
Pakistan has been disappointed in recent times by the Taliban government’s reluctance to eliminate other terrorist groups, including the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). . The Taliban leadership is unwilling to take such an action because these groups fought alongside the Taliban against US-led foreign forces and shared a similar ideology.

Taliban government took this step
However last month in Afghanistan, the Taliban-led government in Afghanistan after lodged a strong protest from Islamabad, allowed terrorist groups to stop in areas bordering Pakistan. have started taking steps to remove it from.  But Pakistan has made it clear that it is not satisfied with just this action, but accepts the Taliban’s decision to stop cross-border attacks, at least temporarily.
