PM Modi Address Global Covid Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the second Global Kovid Virtual Summit on Thursday. During this, he said that the corona epidemic is still disrupting life, disrupting the supply chain. In India, we have adopted a people-centric strategy against the pandemic. We have made the highest allocation in our budget so far on health.
PM Modi said that our vaccination program is the largest in the world. We have fully vaccinated almost 90% of the adult population and over 50 million children. PM Modi said that India is manufacturing four vaccines approved by WHO, this year we have the capacity to produce 5 billion doses.

We offered help to other countries
PM Modi said that India has developed low-cost COVID coping techniques for testing, treatment and data management. We have offered these capabilities to other countries. The Genomics Consortium of India has made significant contributions to the global database on viruses.
Global supply chain needs
PM Modi said that it is clear that there is a need for a coordinated global response to deal with future health emergencies. We must build a resilient global supply chain and enable equitable access to vaccines and medicines.
