Utkarsh Pahal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Utkarsh Initiative program through video conferencing in Bharuch area of Gujarat today. His program will start at 10:30 in the morning. In this program, four government schemes will be underlined to reach 100% beneficiaries. The officials have given this information. In fact, under the Utkarsh initiative, about 13 thousand beneficiaries were identified under 4 government schemes providing financial assistance to widows, elderly and destitute.

- Ganga Swarupa Financial Assistance Scheme for Widows
- Indira Gandhi Old Age Pension Scheme
- Pension scheme for old and destitute people
- National Family Assistance Scheme
On talking, an official said that on this achievement, we have organized a Utkarsh ceremony in Bharuch on 12th May. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the gathering through video conference. The District Magistrate said that the Prime Minister, in his address to the nation on the occasion of Independence Day last year, had appealed to the officials to achieve the target of 100 percent coverage in many government schemes and inspired by the call of the Prime Minister, we selected four schemes and Launched the Utkarsh initiative in January with the aim of reaching all the eligible beneficiaries. In 3 months, we have reached 100% coverage of these four schemes and not a single widow, destitute or old person has remained untouched in the district.
Prime Minister will take part in the Global Kovid Summit today
So on the same day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the second digital global Kovid summit meeting on 12th May. The Ministry of External Affairs gave this information on Wednesday. This meeting will be held from 6.30 pm to 7.45 pm. According to the statement of the ministry, Prime Minister Modi will participate in this meeting at the invitation of US President Joe Biden. In this meeting, discussions will be held about new steps to deal with the challenges of the Kovid epidemic and to create a strong global health security framework. According to the statement, the Prime Minister will address in the inaugural session of this summit on the topic of ‘Priority to the prevention and preparedness of epidemic stress’. Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the first Global Kovid Summit on 22 May 2021 which was hosted by US President Joe Biden.
