In Chhattisgarh, Congress and BJP are face to face on...

In Chhattisgarh, Congress and BJP are face to face on unemployment allowance. BJP claims that in the Congress manifesto, 10 lakh youths were promised an allowance of Rs 2500 per month. But Chhattisgarh government spokesperson and Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey proved it wrong by holding a press conference on Wednesday. In response, BJP state president Arun Saw surrounded the Congress by holding a press conference.

Politics intensified on unemployment allowance

On August 24, the BJP Yuva Morcha held a big demonstration against unemployment in the capital Raipur. In response, the Congress government fielded two ministers. He raised questions on the performance of BJP by holding a press conference. Minister Ravindra Choubey said that if you want to protest against unemployment, then it should be against the BJP government at the Center. He also said that we had not made any promise of giving unemployment allowance of Rs 2500 to the unemployed and all this is a lie.

BJP and Congress face to face

On the refusal of Minister Ravindra Choubey, BJP state president Arun Saw took a dig at the Congress by holding a press conference in the state office. He said that not only the lies of the Congress were caught in the assembly but it is a matter of great sadness that people are turning away even from the documentary evidence of the promises. He said that Congress had promised in writing to give unemployment allowance of 2500 per month to 10 lakh youth. But till date not a single youth got the allowance. He alleged that the ministers who took oath of the Constitution outright lied that the Congress had not made any such promise.

What was written in the Congress manifesto?

On BJP’s claim, Chhattisgarh Congress’s communication department head Sushil Anand Shukla re-released the party’s manifesto. He has said that there is no mention of unemployment allowance in the Congress manifesto. BJP is telling white lies. Congress does not rely on unemployment allowance. We believe in providing employment to the youth. The Congress had promised to provide employment to every household in point number 4 of the manifesto and said that the youth would get employment under the Rajiv Gandhi Mitra Scheme. 10 lakh unemployed youth will be provided a minimum of Rs 2500 per month for participating in community development and social service activities.
