Prithvi Shaw Delhi Capitals IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals’ young and talented batsman Prithvi Shaw has been discharged from the hospital and has returned to the hotel after recovering from typhoid. The franchise gave this information on Sunday. The franchise did not say whether it would play the remaining two league matches with Australian legend David Warner in IPL 2022.
The Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals will play Punjab Kings on Monday, followed by the last IPL 2022 league match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on May 21. The team is currently ranked fifth in the IPL points table with 12 points and is in the race for the playoffs.
A DC statement on Sunday morning said, “Delhi Capitals opener Prithvi Shaw has been discharged from the hospital, where he was being treated for typhoid. Shaw is back at the hotel, where he is under medical supervision. are in.”
Recently, Delhi Capitals assistant coach Shane Watson had indicated that the youngster is unlikely to feature in the remaining matches of the team.
Shaw missed DC’s last three league matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals after playing against Lucknow Super Giants on 1 May. An Instagram story by Shaw on 8 May revealed that the opener was hospitalized due to fever.
In nine matches, Shaw has scored 259 runs at an average of 28.78 and a strike rate of 159.87, including two half-centuries. Watson said, “His absence till now is a loss for the team. Hopefully he will return to the team soon.”
