Punjab Power Bill News: The government of Bhagwant Mann of Punjab took a big decision for the people of the state. This decision is related to the outstanding electricity bill. Punjab Power Minister Harbhajan Singh said on Thursday that the state government has waived off the outstanding electricity bills of all domestic customers till December 2021. The minister said in an official statement that the power company Punjab State Electricity Corporation Ltd. (PSPCL) has issued a notification in this regard. All pending bills of domestic customers up to December, 2021 and which have not been paid till June 30, 2022, have been waived off.
It is not possible to start the connections which have been cut- Minister
The state government had already announced to waive off pending electricity bills of domestic consumers till December 31, 2021. The minister said, “It is not possible to start the electricity connections which have been cut. PSPCL will re-issue the same on the request of the applicant. This fee has to be paid by the consumers. The minister said that the Punjab government is providing 300 units of free electricity every month to all eligible families from July.
Announcing amnesty for defaulting domestic electricity consumers Power Minister @AAPHarbhajan said that the outstanding electricity bills till Dec 31, 2021 of those who have not paid their dues till Jun 30, 2022, have been waived. @PSPCLPb has issued a notification in this regard

These consumers will not get the benefit
All other consumers like Government Hospitals, Dispensaries, Places of Worship, Government Sports Institutes, Military Rest Houses, Government Aided Educational Institutions and Hostels etc. will not be covered under this waiver scheme.
