PV Sindhu in CWG 2022: Two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu has made it to the pre-quarterfinals of the Commonwealth Games 2022. She defeated Fatima Nabaha of Maldives in just 21 minutes in Badminton women’s singles round-of-32 match. PV Sindhu won the match in a unilateral manner 21-4, 21-11.
This match was very easy for PV Sindhu, who won the silver medal in the last Commonwealth Games. In the first game itself, Sindhu defeated her Maldivian opponent. In the second game, Fatima did present a little challenge in the beginning but later she fell behind.

Sindhu has won a medal in the mixed team event
PV Sindhu has already won a medal in the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. He got this medal in the mixed team event. India’s mixed badminton team was in the final on the fifth day of the Commonwealth Games 2022, where they lost to Malaysia 1-3. In the first match of the final, the pair of Satwik Sairaj Ranki Reddy and Chirag Shetty had to face defeat. After this, the women’s pair of Treeja Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand also lost. Kidambi Srikanth also had to face defeat here. The lone PV Sindhu won her match. In this way the Indian team had to be satisfied with the silver medal.
