India Tour of England: There is a good news for Team India. Veteran Indian spinner R Ashwin has recovered from Kovid-19. He has also joined Team India in Leicester. He appeared in the practice session of Team India on Thursday morning. However, he could not take part in the practice match against Leicestershire which started today.
Ashwin could not come to England with the Indian Test squad. He had to leave the flight after coming to Kovid-19 positive. He was asked to join the team in Leicester after completing his Kovid-19 isolation. He joined Team India this morning.
35-year-old Ashwin is the second most successful spinner in Test cricket for India. He has taken 442 wickets in 86 test matches. He has also played strong innings on many occasions with the bat. It is very good news for him to return to Team India before the Test match against England starting on July 1.
Team India is ahead 2-1 in the test series
The last remaining match of last year’s Test series between India and England will be played in Birmingham from July 1. The five-match Test series between India and England could not be completed due to Corona. The fifth Test, to be held at Old Trafford, could not be played after the corona cases surfaced in the Indian camp. Team India is ahead 2-1 in this series. There is a big reshuffle in both the teams this year as compared to last year. Both the teams will enter the field with a new captain and a new coach.
