Rajasthan Congress Dispute: The demand for new districts for the Gehlot government of Rajasthan (Ashok Gehlot) has put it in trouble. Every day some special MLA or minister of Gehlot is demanding a new district. Along with this, his own MLAs have started warning CM Gehlot. On Tuesday, Independent MLA Baljit Yadav from Behror showed his attitude on the demand of making the district. He has bluntly told the government that if Behror is not declared a district, he will play the band of the Congress government.
Baljit Yadav said that he had told CM Ashok Gehlot earlier also. Till now the Congress remained with the government, there was compulsion to get the development work done only in the assembly constituency. But if Behror district is not made, he is not going to keep quiet. Not only this, just two days ago Minister Rajendra Yadav has given an ultimatum to make Kotputli a district by December. Similarly, the demand for formation of district is going on in many other places in the state. The interesting thing is that mostly in this, Gehlot’s own MLAs and ministers are the ones who are angry with him. Now Gehlot’s own people are showing their attitude to him.

This is the reason behind the demand to make Behror a district
The main reason behind the demand to make Behror a district is that there are 25,000 small and big industrial units here. People of Bansur, Behror, Bhiwadi and Neemrana have to go to Alwar for government work. The distance of these assemblies from Alwar city is about 70 to 80 kms. That’s why there is a demand for making one district out of Bhiwadi, Behror, Neemrana for a long time.
They can be made district
At the same time, there is a demand to make many cities districts in the state. But, some of the cities which are said to be ready to be declared as districts, Kotputli, Balotra, Phalodi, Didwana, Beawar, Bhiwadi are at the forefront. Recently Kotputli MLA Rajendra Yadav had also heated up the atmosphere. In such a situation, now the demand for creating districts from different places has created a crisis for the Gehlot government.

Hope of the district after 14 years
In the year 2008, on January 26, Pratapgarh was made a new district. Since then only discussions are happening, no new district has been declared. Now Ashok Gehlot government wants to give a big message by making them districts. The BJP government had formed a committee under the chairmanship of retired IAS Parmesh Chand in 2014 for the new districts, whose report came in 2018, but no announcement was made on the new districts. At the same time, Congress and supporting MLAs are constantly putting pressure on the government to create new districts here. Since then it is believed that something new can happen.
