Rajasthan News: A case of Ganja Smuggling by Ward Panch has come to light in Bundi, Rajasthan. The police has arrested Ward Panch with 2 kg of illegal ganja. Cases have been registered against the ward panch earlier under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 (NDPS). According to the police, Ward Panch was spreading drug trade in his vicinity. On the information of the informer, the police has succeeded in arresting the ward panch with ganja. The matter is related to Raithal village of Gendoli police station area. The ward Panch Lokesh Jangid of the village has been caught by the police.
Gendoli police station officer Mukesh Kumar said that a blockade was being done on the Gendoli-Khatkar-Raythal road for checking illegal work. Meanwhile, the accused ward panch came who started panicking after seeing the police. The police caught him as a suspect and as per the rules, 2 kg 100 grams of ganja was recovered from him in a white bag after being searched, after which he was arrested under the NDPS Act and brought to the police station. The investigation of the entire matter has been handed over to the Dei Kheda police station. Police officer Mukesh Kumar said that the team was formed to catch the smuggling of illegal drugs. Complaints were being received against the illegal drug dealers for the last several days, on which this action has been taken.

Police station officer Mukesh Kumar told that Ward Panch Lokesh Kumar Jangid has also eaten jail time in NDPS cases in the past. In the year 2019, Lokesh Kumar was arrested by the police under the NDPS Act in the major action taken against Ganja by the Keshoraipatan police. Similarly, cases related to drugs and alcohol are also registered against Lokesh Kumar in Gendoli, Keshoraipatan police station. Despite going to jail, the ward panch did not improve and the smuggling continued. After getting out of jail, he started doing drug business again. The police have arrested the ward panch.

Two accused arrested in another action
During the blockade before Bansi Petrol Pump, the Dei police arrested two more people with illegal drugs. SHO Budhram Jat told that during the blockade by the police station level team, during the illegal work checking and the arrest of goons and rogues, Ramlal Mali, resident of Dugari village of Nainwan police station area, caught Sooraj Meena with 2.5 kg of ganja and also seized a bike from them. . The investigation was started by registering a case against the accused under Section 8/20 NDPS Act. During police interrogation, the accused told that they too used to smuggle in their village.
