If we talk about Bundi district alone, then in the financial year 2021-2022, the outstanding payment of Rs 28 crore is being told on the contractors. Departmental officers have also sent notices to recover the dues from these contractors. The contractors have not replied to the notice and have not deposited the dues yet. The department has started taking strict action against such contractors.
Bundi Excise Officer Manoj Bissa said, “The list is being prepared for auctioning the property of contractors who have not paid dues. Departmental officers have prepared a list of outstanding contractors and have prepared to give notice to them. Now the department is first identifying those contractors who have not been paying for a long time. His property will be auctioned.

The excise officer said, “There are 195 liquor shops in Bundi district, out of which 90 are such shops whose dues are pending. We have instructed all the officers to recover the dues. So far, we have seized 16 lakh 83 thousand rupees by confiscating the entire property of four contractors.
Dues are pending on contractors in Kota, Bundi, Baran, Jhalawar of Kota division. There are many contractors who have taken shops in the name of others. Due to loss, they left the shop and left. Such shopkeepers are also being identified. Officials say that under the new policy, bids were made for liquor contracts with the intention of getting more revenue, but it did not work. Millions of shops got bids in crores and then the guarantee was broken. Due to this, the dues of the department are running on the contractors of Rs 28 crore in the district.
Preparation of FIR

Therefore, the contractor remained in loss.
Let us tell you that the new excise policy did not suit the contractors. Earlier, where English and country liquor shops used to be separate, the government united them under the new excise policy and many changes were made in the rules. The contractors say that due to this they are in loss. At the same time, earlier all the shops were auctioned on a single day, but this time the department lost its sweat in allotting liquor shops through online bidding. In such a situation, many contractors of Rajasthan left liquor shops in the middle. At the same time, contractors also tell Corona as the reason for the loss.
