Kota News: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Collector OP Weaver to follow the instructions issued by the government to make the students studying in coaching institutes mentally strong. During this, the Collector said that along with giving a better environment to the coaching students, all the coaching and hostel associations should strictly follow the action plan made by the district administration for nutritious food, home arrangements.

The collector said that students from all over the country come to Kota for coaching, it is the responsibility of all of us to provide them with a stress-free study environment and better arrangements at home. He directed to appoint trend counselors, administration, police, helpline numbers of counselors to be displayed in public places in all the coaching and hostel institutions as per the guidelines of the state government to reduce the mental stress of the students.

‘One day in a week is fun day’
The Collector directed all the coaching and hostel institutions to organize activities towards the mental health of the children. He suggested to make the attendance of students through face scanner based system instead of card reader, so that every child can be monitored. The District Collector suggested the representatives of all the coaching institutes to organize activities in their respective institutes on one day in a week as sunday-fun-day. In which gym, yoga, various sports activities, musical activities can be included. He told that this can definitely reduce mental stress to some extent.

‘Children get quality food’
He said that if there are complaints about non-delivery of quality food by the mess operators and increase in the rent in the middle of the session by the lease holders of the hostels, then action will be taken against such people after conducting an inquiry. The Superintendent of Police said that along with education to the students, everyone will have to work together for health and better conduct. For the de-stress of the students, taking corrective steps in hostels, coaching institutes, and giving home-like affinity, work will have to be done in relation to protective arrangements. All the coaching institutes should organize orientation programs for the students before the results of medical and engineering examinations.

Drugs will be curbed in hostel areas
The Collector also instructed to give information about other services for the students who did not perform well in the examination results. He also directed to keep a monitoring system by giving information to the local police for the prevention of drug and criminal activities in the areas of coaching and hostels. Additional Collector City Brijmohan Bairwa gave detailed information about the guidelines issued earlier by the administration.

He directed the students residing in hostels to ban all such hostel operators, considering the increase in the rent in the middle of the session as a violation of the guidelines. Additional Superintendent of Police Headquarters Rajesh Meel told the institutes to take steps to appoint home guards and PSOs to assist the police around the coaching institutes. In this meeting, Superintendent of Police City Kesar Singh Shekhawat, Additional District Collector City Brijmohan Bairwa, including representatives of Coaching and Hostel Association attended.
