Shimla Literature Festival: The International Literature Festival ‘Unmesh’ is going to start in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, from June 16 to 18. The festival will begin in the main auditorium of Gaiety Theater Shimla. About 425 litterateurs, writers and eminent scholars from the country and abroad are participating in the festival. 300 writers from 24 Indian including 32 LG BTQ writers, 40 tribal languages, 25 North East writers, 9 expatriates, 9 foreign writers will be present in the festival. Will recite his works in languages. In the episode of ‘Azadi Ke Amrit Mahotsav’, this festival is being held under the joint aegis of Union Ministry of Culture and Sahitya Akademi.
On June 16, at 12 noon, the first program will be on the topic ‘Literature and Women’s Empowerment’. On June 16, between 2:30 and 4:00 pm, Kiran Bedi will participate in a dialogue on the topic ‘Literature means to me’. Renowned lyricist Gulzar will preside over a discussion on the topic ‘Literature and Cinema’ on June 16 from 4:50 pm to 6:00 pm. Arjun Ram Meghwal will preside over this session. Vishal Bhardwaj’s conversation with Gulzar on June 17 will also be part of the attraction. In the session of June 17, Anil Bar presided over the challenges and composition lessons before the tribal writers, Mahendra Kumar Mishra of the oral epic in unrecognized languages, SL Bhairappa of literature and Indian independence movement, Madhav Kaushik of multilingual poetry recitation, Asmita writer of the meeting. Baldev Bhai Sharma will preside over Parmita Satpathy, media, literature and freedom movement.
