Sidhu Moose Wala:Punjabi singer-politician Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead on Sunday, leaving his fans and industry colleagues in shock. Celebs of Anil Kapoor, Mika Singh, Shehnaaz Gill, Ajay Devgn, Kapil Sharma and Lilly Singh mourned the demise of the “Legend” singer. International rapper Drake also expressed condolences through social media.

The last rites of the singer were performed today in his native village Musa. An old video of the 28-year-old singer is now going viral, where he talked about death and living without any hard goal and goal. In the video, Sidhu Musewala is seen saying, “I do not have any specific purpose in life. I have been targeted many times. I may die any day but I am not afraid of death.” His fans sent emotional comments on the post, adding messages like ‘Miss you brother’, and ‘You will always be alive’.

Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar has claimed responsibility for the murder and police are probing the role of people linked to Lawrence Bishnoi, of whom Brar is a part. In an interview, singer Mika Singh called the shooting of Moose Wala “shameful” and also said that the late singer had told him about the death threats he received three years ago.

Not only Sidhu, Mika said that many singers in Punjab feel threatened by gangsters. Expressing disappointment over the law and order situation in Punjab, Mika said, “He was not a goon. He was not the kind of person who used to harass people by drinking alcohol. He was just a singer who made a name for himself with his songs. So, if this can happen to such a good boy and celebrity, that too without any fear of punishment, it is a full joke star.” The singer also shared how during his visit to Mumbai, Sidhu had told him about feeling safe in Mumbai.


Punjab government had withdrawn security

Sidhu Musewala was shot dead three days after the Punjab government stepped down security. He was reportedly shot at least 10 times near a temple in the village of Jhawahar and was declared brought dead at the civil hospital in Mansa. Moose Wala was among 424 VIPs who lost their security as part of the Bhagwant Mann government’s exercise to crack down on VIP culture.
