Gujarat Rain News: Many parts of South Gujarat have received torrential rains in the last 24 hours. There is a possibility of more rain in the region in the next three days. An official has given this information on Thursday. According to the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC), there has been heavy rain in some taluks of Surat, Narmada and Navsari districts in South Gujarat. Valsad taluka of Valsad district received 159 mm of rain in the last 24 hours till 6 am.

Director of Meteorological Center Manorama Mohanty said that there is a possibility of more rain in the next three days in Surat, Navsari, Dang, Tapi and Valsad districts of South Gujarat. He said that heavy to very heavy rainfall could occur at isolated places in the region. Mohanty said, “Though there has not been much rain in Saurashtra and Kutch region today, but tomorrow the rainfall will increase. On July 3 and 4, there may be heavy rain in some parts of that region.

Where did it rain?
SEOC said that from 6 am to 12 am in Umarpada tehsil of Surat 143 mm, Dediapada (Narmada) 76 mm, Mangrol (Surat) 69 mm, Gandevi (Navsari) 67 mm, Sagbara (Narmada) 61 mm and Kamarez (Surat) received 58 mm of rainfall. Valsad tehsil has received 159 mm of rainfall and Pardi tehsil 89 mm in the last 24 hours till 6 am. According to officials, waterlogging has been reported from low-lying areas of Valsad and areas like Varchha, Kapodara in Surat.
