Sudhir Wins Gold In Para Powerlifting: India’s Sudhir did wonders in the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. He won India Gold for the first time in Para Powerlifting. Earlier, India had not won a gold medal in this category till now. Sudhir set a Games record with 134.5 points. Sudhir has become the first athlete for India to win a gold in Para Powerlifting.

India’s para powerlifter Sudhir won the gold medal in the men’s heavyweight category by lifting 212 kg. Sudhir, weighing 87.30 kg, lifted 208 kg in the first attempt with a rack height of 14. After this, Sudhir lifted 212 kg in the second attempt. At the same time, Sudhir remained on top with 134.5 points and won the gold medal.
