Rajasthan News: All the District Collectors across the country leave the city in their official luxury car, but the District Collector in Udaipur, Rajasthan did something different. Last Monday, District Collector Tarachand Meena went on a city tour sitting on a camel. During this he was not alone, but many people were present with him. It was the occasion of Tribal Pride Day, when the collector came out in the city riding a camel. Tribal Pride Day started from last year to remember the rich culture, heritage, heritage of the tribal society in the country and the contribution made by Birsa Munda in nation building.
Grand procession taken out
Tribal Pride Day started with a grand procession on Monday. A procession was taken out in Udaipur city in collaboration with the Tribal Areas Development Department, TRI and Lok Kala Mandal. District Collector Tarachand Meena was the main attraction of the procession, who received the procession riding on a camel. Seeing this unique style of the collector, the residents appreciated his easygoing personality and were seen capturing this glimpse in their mobiles. The collector supported the artists and encouraged them in the procession. Folk artists took part in this procession from TRI to Lokkala Mandal with musical instruments. Attractive presentations of tribal artists introducing folk art and culture were also held in the city.

The festival will run till 22 November
In the freedom movement of the nation, with the aim of preserving the songs and bhajans sung by various tribes during the movement in their respective areas, on November 15, at 6 pm, a tribal folk song and bhajan evening will be organized at the Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal. About 250 artists from different tribes of Rajasthan will participate in this programme. The reason behind celebrating the Tribal Festival is also to remember them. Apart from this, there will be many programs in which seminars, essays in schools, writing and other competitions will be held. This festival will continue till 22 November.
