UP Breaking News Live: The name of the NDA candidate for the Presidential election has been announced. Former Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu has been made the President’s candidate in the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting on Tuesday. All 7 members of the board including PM Modi were present in the meeting.

Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, who revolted with 41 MLAs of Maharashtra, has put a condition in front of party chief Uddhav Thackeray to form government with BJP. On Tuesday, Eknath Shinde had a 15-minute conversation with CM Uddhav Thackeray over the phone. Milind Narvekar, who went to meet Eknath Shinde, had a phone conversation. Eknath Shinde told Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray that Shiv Sena and BJP should form the government together.

All Congress MLAs will have a meeting on Tuesday. Congress leader Kamal Nath will be present in this meeting as an observer. Kamal Nath will reach Mumbai at 10 am today and he will first hold a meeting with the big leaders of the party at the Sahyadri Guest House. After this he will hold a meeting with all the MLAs of the party. Earlier on Tuesday, 42 MLAs were present in the meeting called by Balasaheb Thorat.

By-elections are being held in Azamgarh and Rampur Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh. Tuesday was the last day of the campaign in both these seats. Now votes will be cast on these seats on Thursday.

Yashwant Sinha will be the joint candidate of the opposition parties in the presidential elections to be held on July 18. The decision was taken unanimously in the meeting of opposition parties led by NCP President Sharad Pawar on Tuesday. Representatives of 15 parties attended Tuesday’s meeting. The parties that participated in the meeting included Congress, NCP, TMC, RJD, SP, DMK, CPM, CPI, RSP, All India United Democratic Front, AIMIM, VCK, CPIML, National Conference and Muslim League.

The results of the elections held on 18 municipal councils and 28 municipalities in Haryana will be declared on Wednesday. Counting of votes will start at 8 am.
