Azamgarh And Rampur Loksabha By Election: Before the 2024 Loksabha Election, Akhilesh Yadav has changed his strategy and this change is clearly visible in the by-elections being held in Azamgarh, Rampur. Akhilesh Yadav took all the steps towards changing the image of the party in the 2022 assembly elections, but when the result did not come in favor, once again Akhilesh Yadav is now following the track of Mulayam Singh Yadav. The party’s old MY factor seems to be moving forward only.
Akhilesh Yadav changed strategy in the by-election
The election noise came to an end today for the by-elections to be held in Azamgarh and Rampur. Voting is to be held on these two seats on June 23. But this election is considered to be the biggest measure of the Samajwadi Party’s changed strategy and its success before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. And perhaps this is the reason why Akhilesh is once again relying more on the old MY factor of SP, leaving behind the image that Akhilesh tried to change in the 2022 assembly elections. In both Azamgarh and Rampur, Akhilesh has completely changed his strategy.
SP again supported by MY factor
Akhilesh Yadav fielded less Yadav candidates in the 2022 assembly elections.
Akhilesh Yadav did not give tickets to the family members in the elections to avoid the allegation of familyism.
To avoid the allegation of Muslim appeasement, no big Muslim face was seen in any public meeting in the assembly elections.
At the same time, in the by-election, the party has fielded a Yadav candidate on one seat and a Muslim candidate on the other.
Akhilesh Yadav has fielded cousin Dharmendra Yadav in Azamgarh and Asim Raza, close to Azam Khan in Rampur. At the same time, Azam Khan, the biggest Muslim face of the party, is being sent on every election platform. Even Akhilesh himself did not go anywhere for campaigning. Whereas Azam Khan not only went from chartered to Azamgarh but is also using the helicopter for propaganda in Rampur.
Know the real reason for changing strategy
Actually, there are many reasons behind this changed strategy of Akhilesh Yadav. 2014 Lok Sabha elections, 2017 assembly elections, 2019 Lok Sabha elections or 2022 assembly elections. The strategy of the Samajwadi Party did not succeed in all the four elections. Akhilesh Yadav tried hard to remove the party from the traditional image, but now when the election results do not come in favour, he is seen walking back on the old path of Mulayam Singh Yadav. The strongest aspect of the party is the MY factor, on which he has expressed confidence. Whether it is a matter of sending members to the Rajya Sabha or sending members to the Legislative Council, the difference was clearly visible.

Bets played before 2024 Lok Sabha elections
Before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Akhilesh Yadav does not want to leave any stone unturned and this is the reason why he is now seen trying the old bet of Mulayam Singh Yadav. The effort is that the Muslim community should remain with the party, that is why Azam Khan was provided even a helicopter for campaigning in Rampur itself. Till the last day of the election campaign, Azam Khan was seen fiercely targeting the opponents. On the other hand, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak says that no matter how much the SP changes its strategy, but the public has rejected them before and will still reject them.
BJP’s claim about the by-election
BJP seems quite confident about Azamgarh and Rampur seats. In both the seats, CM Yogi has also campaigned heavily in favor of the party. The BJP is repeating the same formula in both the by-elections, which is believed to be the biggest factor for BJP’s victory in 2022. In which PM Modi’s ration and Baba’s bulldozer rule in UP, BJP is using both these factors in this election as well. That is why when CM Yogi reached Rampur today, he also mentioned this thing clearly.
Nose question for SP-BJP
Azamgarh and Rampur Lok Sabha by-elections are very important for the ruling BJP and the opposition party Samajwadi Party. Both the seats fell vacant after the resignation of the Samajwadi Party MPs. That’s why SP is looking at it by connecting it with its reputation, then BJP is trying to give a message by winning these seats before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Now what decision will the public take, it will be known only after the election results are out.
