Hypersonic Missile: The US Air Force has claimed that it has successfully test-fired a hypersonic missile over the weekend. “US Air Force B-52H Stratofortress successfully released an AGM-183A Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon, or ARRW, off the Southern California coast on May 14,” the US Air Force said in a press release. “After separation from the aircraft, ARRW’s booster ignited and burned for the expected duration, achieving hypersonic speeds over five times the speed of sound,” the US Air Force said.
419th FLTS Commander Lt Col Michael Jungquist said the test team ensured that it passed the test flawlessly. “Our highly skilled team created history with this first air-launched hypersonic weapon.
