Whereas even before this, he was elected MLC of BJP in 2016. We take a look at his career so far.

entry into politics
If we talk about the political career of the new state president, then it started with Vishwa Hindu Parishad. He has come to BJP from VHP itself. He joined BJP in 1991. The last time the party elected him a member of the UP Legislative Council for the first time in 2016. Prior to this, he had been the regional president of BJP.

It is said that the BJP is busy preparing to cultivate the Jat community in western UP. At the same time, Bhupendra Chaudhary has a strong hold in the Jat society and western UP. In such a situation, he has been given the command of BJP in the state. Prior to this, he had worked in the organization for a long time. Bhupendra Chaudhary has contested the Lok Sabha elections in 1999 against SP founder Mulayam Singh but he was defeated in that election.

What is the party’s strategy?
By handing over the command of the party in UP to Bhupendra Chaudhary, a strategy is also being considered to reduce the effect of the RLD-SP alliance in western UP. The areas of the state where BJP has suffered the most in the 2022 elections are from Saharanpur in western UP to Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Moradabad, Amroha, Bareilly and Rampur. Chaudhary comes from this area.

It is being told that this can benefit the BJP in one and a half dozen Lok Sabha seats under the influence of Jats in western UP. Bhupendra Chaudhary, who comes from the Jat community, is considered close to the top leadership of the BJP as well as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Apart from this, there are old swayamsevaks of the RSS, in such a situation, by bringing a Jat face as the state president, BJP can strengthen the party’s base in western UP, where it can reach the Jats and farmers who are considered away from the party due to the farmers’ movement.
