In Uttar Pradesh, Darul Uloom spokesperson Sufiyan Nizami has given a statement on the decision of the CM Yogi Adityanath cabinet not to give grants to any new madrassa by the state government. He has said that no one has any objection to whatever work is being done for the progress of madrassas and the facilities which are going to be given to the children studying in madrasas. Those madrasas which are fake should be closed and those madrasas which are taking grants in a fake way should also be locked.
Decision not right: Darul Uloom spokesperson
Darul Uloom’s spokesperson further said that, but the decision which has been taken that grants will not be given to madrasas from now on, should be looked into by the government at once. Our Chief Minister himself has said that madrasas will be modernised. The decision not to give grants to madrasas from now on is not right and needs to be looked into. My request is that the government should look into this once and action should be taken against the fake madrasas which are running, they should be closed but to say that no further madrassas will get any benefit or grant needs to be looked into.
