Vadodara Police: A man, who was detained on suspicion of theft, died in police custody in Gujarat’s Vadodara district on Wednesday. An official gave this information. At the same time, a resident of the area claimed that the deceased was his guest and had forgotten the way, when some local people caught him on suspicion of being a thief. The police officer said that the police got information in the morning that a person has been caught stealing in a residential society of Sevasi on the outskirts of Vadodara city.

Post mortem report will reveal
He said that the person who reached the spot was identified as 40-year-old Bhupendra Solanki. The police brought him with them to the Vadodara tehsil police station. The officer said, “The suspect’s health started deteriorating in the police station. He was immediately rushed to the Government Hospital in Vadodara, where doctors declared him brought dead. He told that Solanki was a resident of Dama Pura village in the district. The official said that only from the postmortem report, it would be known whether Solanki died due to beating of people or there was some other health related problem.
