Weather Update In India: Winter is knocking in the northern areas of India. There is a possibility of dry weather in Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand. Apart from this, there may be light rain in some parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. At the same time, the weather will remain dry in the eastern and northeastern regions as well. Heavy rain is expected in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
According to the Meteorological Department, due to the low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, there will be heavy rains in Tamil Nadu from 15 to 17 November. The Meteorological Department has also predicted thunder and lightning here in the next 24 hours. The possibility of scattered/light rain has also been expressed in western Rajasthan and Haryana.
However, there will be no significant change in the minimum temperature over most parts of northwest India during the next 48 hours, but after that the temperature is expected to drop by 2-3 degree Celsius. During the next three days, there will be a gradual decrease in the minimum temperature by 2-4 degree Celsius at many places over central India.
Snowfall in many districts of Himachal
Due to snowfall in four districts of Himachal Pradesh, a huge drop in temperature has been recorded. There has been snowfall in the higher reaches of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Shimla and Chamba districts of the state.
Chance of heavy rain in these states
Heavy rains are expected over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Lakshadweep followed by a sharp decline in rain activity. On November 15 and 16, significant rain is likely over isolated areas of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. At the same time, there is a possibility of stormy weather (wind speed reaching 40-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph) over south Andaman Sea and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal on 16 and 17 November.
