Bajrang Punia Wrestler Commonwealth Games: Bajrang Punia is one of the star wrestlers of India. He won the bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics. Now they are busy preparing for the Commonwealth Games and the World Championship. Bajrang is paying full attention to his fitness and training. Bajrang said during an event on Saturday that he would play with some of the best wrestlers of the University of Michigan. The players who train there come in the top 10 of the world. They train there and represent different countries.
Bajrang suffered a post-Olympic injury, but said he was focusing on his fitness and had no issues. He further added, “I am training at the SAI National Center of Excellence in Sonepat. Due to the support from SAI and the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS), my fitness level is back. Now I want to perform for the country.” . I want to give my best.”
He further said, “Lightning on the US visit ahead of the upcoming big tournaments, Bajrang said that Indians train abroad, not because there are no facilities in India. The infrastructure in India is world class and in the last few years It has evolved. I am going there to the US with world-class partners. Also, before any big tournament, I don’t want to distract myself because here, I keep getting invitations for birthdays, weddings etc.”
Bajrang further said that he wants to win a gold medal for India in the next Olympic Games in Paris. I want to improve myself in training. Victory and defeat are a part of life.”
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports will bear the expenses of Bajrang’s travel, boarding, his personal coach and physiotherapist for a 35-day training camp in Michigan from June 25 to July 30.
