Free Self Defense Training Program in Kota: Three thousand girl students will get free self-defense training in Kota. ‘Anya’ Foundation has taken a big initiative for the girl students of government schools. The country’s largest non-governmental training program is going to be started in 10 schools by the Foundation. Commonwealth Games gold medalist and famous Indian woman wrestler Geeta Phogat will launch a free self-defense program on 19 November.

Anjali Birla, daughter of Lok Sabha Speaker and founder of Anya Foundation, told that in the changing social environment, it is necessary for every girl child to be capable of self-defense. The ability to defend oneself in any adverse situation will give the confidence to touch new heights in life. He said that a self-defense program named ‘Nirbheek’ has been envisaged for girl students studying in classes 6 to 12. He told that the launch of the self-defense program on the birth anniversary of Rani Lakshmi Bai reflects a special thought.

On November 19, the birth anniversary of the country’s great heroine Rani Lakshmi Bai is celebrated. The program will also be inaugurated by wrestler Geeta Phogat, a prominent personality of women empowerment. In such a situation, organizing a self-defense program will emerge as a strong inspiration for the girls to become capable. The self-defense training program being organized by Anya Foundation will run for three months in 10 schools of the city. During the training program, stretching, running, jumping will also be done to the girls along with warm-up. He told that the girls will learn 18 types of self-defense skills. 25 expert trainers have been associated with the self-defense program. Instructors will also teach girls to use comb, purse, pen, pencil in self-defense.
